Flying Apron–Awesome Gluten-Free Bakery in Fremont

Ok, this post is a bit of an indulgence and not directly related to massage…BUT, if on your health journey, you are interested in trying some gluten-free options, you MUST check out Flying Apron Bakery in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle (http://www.flyingapron.com/)!  As you may know, many people are allergic to gluten, which is present in wheat and some other grains.  Many others are sensitive, and many don’t realize it may be the cause of their symptoms.  It has been connected to digestive issues, mood disorders, fatigue, autism, and more.  Here’s a great site on the topic, by a local writer:  (http://glutenfreegirl.blogspot.com/).  My husband and I have been experimenting with a gluten-free diet recently and enjoying improvements in how we feel.  We were very excited to find Flying Apron, which has delicious food and coffee!  Everything is organic, vegan (except milk for coffee), and gluten-free.  There are gorgeous cakes, cupcakes, muffins, cinnamon rolls, breads, cookies, a daily soup, salads, and a few other savory items.  We have loved the chocolate chip and peanut butter chocolate cookies, chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting, berry tea biscuit, savory Italian veggie pocket (ordered with a side of marinara to make it like a calzone), and mac ‘n cheez.  They also serve yummy Caffe Vita espresso (http://www.caffevita.com).  It’s a cozy, warm, wood-filled cafe, too–nice to hang out in.  And I love their creative divider around the kitchen made out of recycled doors.
